Drömigt för min lilla tjej/ Dreamy for my little girl

Jag började processen med denna målningen på hösten förra året, så det har verkligen varit en lång process. Från att skissa motivet till att måla de slutgiltiga detaljerna. Det började med att min 8-åriga dotter ville ha något med hästar att hänge i sitt sovrum som hon kunde titta på när hon skulle sova. Eftersom hon älskar Pegasus-enhörningar så började vi utvecklade idén om motivet tillsammans.

Sedan började jag skissa upp motivet för att efter det överföra skissen till ett akvarellpapper. Jag älskar mitt bärbara ljusbord eftersom det gör det så enkelt att överföra skisser från ett papper till ett annat. Det var verkligen en superbra investering.

Jag tittar ofta på olika foton för inspiration och kombinerar flera bilder för att hamna i en komposition som jag gillar.

När jag nu ser slutresultatet nu måste jag säga att jag tycker att den har kommit till liv på ett fint sätt. Min dotter gillar det mycket och det kommer att passa perfekt i hennes rum som vi kommer att möblera om under hösten 😊.

Nu måste jag bara hitta en ram som passar. Jag tänker vit passe-partout med en svart ram.

I started this piece in fall last year, so it has been a long process indeed. From sketching the motive until finish the final details. My 8-year-old daughter wanted something with horses and I know that she loves Pegasus unicorns so we developed the idea of the motive together.

So I started of with sketching it and then transferring it to a watercolor paper. I love my portable light table as it makes it so easy to transfer sketches from one paper to another.

I often look to photos for inspiration and often combine several photos to end up in a composition that I like.

When I finally look at the piece now I have to say that I find that it has come to life really well trough out the process. And my girl likes it a lot and it will fit perfectly in her room that we will redecorate in the fall 😊. Now I just have to find a frame that fits. I am thinking white passe-partout with a black frame.
